Surfing?

Hi All! Don't know if you are aware but there is a surf school in Dubai that offers a one our taster session with all kit included and wait for it...it is free! I mean really free. These sessions start at 08.30 on Friday mornings on the beach next to the Burj Al Arab (umm Suquiem). The sessions are aimed at people that have never surfed before and even if it's flat they are lot's of fun. Anyone interested?

I assume you are talking about wind surfing and not the wave one ... I use to do bodyboarding back home and never seen a wave in UAE that is worth surfing!; ▶ Reply to This

But, there is a growing group of "stranded" surfers here. Actually was some small surf today, just rideable. Apparently there will be ripples all of this week. For the more adventurous of course there are trips to SL the Maldives and Morroco, but hey one step at a time!; ▶ Reply to This

If you think there is no surf here think again. Have a wizz through my facebook group "Surf Shop Dubai" and check out the pictures of the surf here or on our surf school website www.surfschooluae.com (gallery section).

Surf gets over 4m here in winter when there is a big storm. The surf also cooks in Oman all summer where temperatures are a wonderful 27 degrees.

You just need to know wehre to go and when.
